Rothenbuhler Engineering is a privately held electronics engineering and manufacturing company.  The company is located in the North Cascades town of Sedro Woolley, Washington.

Rothenbuhler Engineering began by building radio controls for the logging industry in 1946. The "Talkie Tooter" radio system still leads the logging industry radio market in both the United States and Canada, making logging safer for its workers and increasing daily yield.

In 1983 Rothenbuhler entered the radio Remote Firing Devices (RFD) industry. 1984 saw the RFD used for anti-terrorist precautions during the Los Angeles Olympic games.  Then in 1990, RFD systems were manufactured for the U.S. Navy for Special Forces and EOD arms destruction projects.  And in 1996, Commercial RFD systems were designed, manufactured, and distributed for construction, mining (surface and underground) and military industries. The Remote Firing Devices (RFDs) are an excellent product for the private and/or commercial blaster with conservative price and ease of use.  The systems are known for the ruggedness and reliability and can include Electric and Shock Tube output and have 5-mile range.

Rothenbuhler has also does extensive custom engineering and manufacturing including the first solid state repeater for the Bonneville Power Administration, a 256-point surveillance scanning system used in the security systems of nuclear power plants, a sophisticated reservoir monitoring system designed for the City of Seattle and working with contractors they designed and manufactured a computer controlled wind generator for Southern California Edison that has pioneered the controlled generation of electricity from wind power.
